2026 Ragnorok Thor & Jormungandr 2 X 1 Oz Silver Coin Set is a unique version of the next coin in the Ragnarök series by Germania Mint. The collection presents scenes from the mythical end of the world – the twilight of the gods, after which the order known to the gods will cease to exist.
The design of the coins, ennobled with yellow gold and ruthenium, follows a concept well known and appreciated by collectors, with the two reverses positioned side by side. This allows the full composition to be admired, depicting the two opponents – Thor and Jörmungandr – facing each other in a deadly confrontation. A battle that will ultimately result in the death of both.
The obverse of the first coin features Thor, the mighty god of thunder, wielding his legendary hammer, Mjölnir. The second obverse depicts Jörmungandr, portrayed in all his power and terrifying majesty. Together, the two obverses form a dynamic scene of the moments leading up to their confrontation, allowing Ragnarök to be viewed from the perspective of both opposing sides.
The reverses of both coins complete the story presented on the obverses. One features a symbolic depiction of Mjölnir, Thor’s weapon. The other depicts Jörmungandr, whose body refers to his mythological role as the serpent encircling Midgard. Both reverses are complemented by the double-headed eagle, the coat of arms of Germania Mint.
The coins, designed by Kinga Sabatowicz, will be issued in a limited mintage of 500 sets (2 x 1 oz). The authenticity of the coins, housed in our revolutionary Infinity capsule, is confirmed by the accompanying Certificate of Authenticity.
